The Administrative Division of the Carteret County Sheriff’s Office is responsible for a broad number of support functions that are important to every division within the agency.

Administrative Officer

The Carteret County Sheriff’s Office Administrative Officer provides high-level executive administrative and secretarial support for the Sheriff. The Administrative Officer works closely with all divisions within the Sheriff’s Office plus coordinates services with other county offices and personnel; municipal agencies; state and federal agencies, as well as vendors and the general public.
Records Manager
The Records Manager is responsible for assisting in providing customer service, document processing and disseminating information to the general public, other agencies, court officials, professional organizations and public safety officials as well as performing miscellaneous administrative duties for the agency. This person also serves as liaison between the Sheriff’s Office and the North Carolina Crime Information Center (NCIC) for Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) network matters; handles oversight of the NCIC operations for the agency; administers the CJIS Network training program to all terminal operators and assists in the maintenance of the CJIS network.

The Senior Administrative Support Specialist is responsible for assisting in providing customer service; documenting, processing, and disseminating information to the general public, other agencies, court officials, professional organizations and public safety officials; and performing miscellaneous administrative duties for the agency.
