Project Lifesaver
In the fall of 2010, the Carteret County Sheriff’s Office implemented the the Project Lifesaver program which is designed to enhance success at locating missing persons with Dementia, Epilepsy, Alzheimer’s disease, Autism, Down Syndrome and other related illnesses.
M.E.D.S.
Initiated in the spring of 2013, the M.E.D.S. program was created to raise awareness of prescription drug abuse.
Community Watch
The Carteret County Sheriff’s Office offers a Neighborhood Watch Toolkit which is comprised of self-paced learning curricula and community based presentations with supplemental action-oriented Neighborhood Watch tools.
D.A.R.E.
The National Sheriffs’ Association and Carteret County Sheriff’s Office recognize the nationwide seriousness of drug abuse and violence by our nation’s youth, and the urgent need to use and to expand school-based prevention education programs throughout the nation.
