What You Will Need
When you are registering, you will need:
- Your ID
- The date and place of your conviction
- The offense for which you were convicted
Notifying Us of a Move
Once you have registered with us (or re-registered upon moving back into Carteret County) you need to keep us informed if you move. You must notify us in person at the following address:
If you move outside of Carteret County, please notify us in person. You will also need to register in person at the Sheriff’s Office in the county to which you move.

Registration takes approximately 30 to 60 minutes. New Convicted Sex Offender’s will be fingerprinted and photographed.
